Douchebags on OKC

Here’s a good example of how to get on my blocked list.

___________

Hi there,

I read your profile and thought I would drop you a line. A little about me: I have a Ph.D. in neuroscience and an MBA. I work for Goldman Sachs in the West Coast investment banking group and travel often, both for work and pleasure. I enjoy being social but I also like taking romantic weekend trips, so I’m looking for someone who is extroverted and not afraid to open up and let someone get to know her. Over the last several years I’ve had a few serious relationships and I’ve also spent time enjoying being single, so I have a pretty good idea of what I’m looking for and I think I’m finally at a phase in life where I am ready to fall in love (though not in a hurry). It sounds like you might be in the same boat. I’d love to chat sometime and get to know you better, even if only as friends.

Starting this up again.

I’ve spending a lot more time on the computer these days, so figured I would give this another whirl.

On the needles. A classic silhouette pullover, in blackberry stitch. My first original pattern. I will not be writing it up, because I winged my decreases and fucked up all over the place. It’s pretty though! Better/Bigger photos later.

WIP: Brownbird

Yarn is Tosh DK from Madeline Tosh in Twig. Pattern is Snowbird by Heidi Kirrmaier.

Shelter Yarn from Brooklyn Tweed

Is new, and available for purchase online.

I was thinking of using it for Pinery but that would be a $250 sweater. It’s beautiful but $12.50 seems a bit steep for 50g.

new yarn for millz

Stopped blogging because I stopped knitting. That’s all over now, because I bought new yarn.

Obligatory YouTube video that features knitting

Last month it was a Pringle video that blew up the knitting blogs, this month it’s this.

Now, how to decide who gets the trackback?
